CHOQUEQUIRAO CAMP 4D/3N
Considered as the I finish Inca refuge that resisted per
decades to the Spanish conquerors. This located in the high of
the canyon of the Apurimac in a strategic geographical area
between the Andean mountains and the forest brow. At the moment
you can appreciate only a 10% of the whole citadel.
Itinerary Programs
1º day: At suitable hour I pick up of the hotel to begin
trip until the town of Qachora, in the itinerary we will stop
to have breakfast in the town of Limatambo it stops then to
continue until the bridge Cunyac between the departments of
Cusco and Apurimac.
Curawasi is the district where we will eat lunch (12.30 approx.)
and to continue soon after until Qachora where we will have the
first day of camp. It has dinner and spend the night.
2º day: After the typical breakfast, we begin our voyage
walking for a path of soft slope and to arrive to the step of
the hill Waywaqalli to 3800 msnm where we begin to descend
toward the river Apurimac to which we will arrive to the means
I gave to eat lunch and to continue for space of 2 hours in a
strong ascent until Santa Rosa and after one hour but to arrive
to the place of the second camp.
3º day: This day we will get up to the very early group
(5 am.) it stops after the breakfast to ascend until the
archaeological complex of Choquequirao going by Maranpata and
to continue for space of one hour for soft slopes.
The archaeological remains of Choquequirao will be visited the
rest of the day always accompanied of the guide who wisely will
explain to near this important Inca refuge. At suitable hour we
begin the return to our camp where we will have dinner and we
will have the 2º camp.
4º day: A good breakfast will be served in Santa Rosa
and to return for the same road toward the town from QACHORA to
which we will be arriving at 1pm o'clock. approximately, in the
itinerary we will appreciate flora and exotic fauna as well as
seen of imposing snowy and the impressive canyon of the
Apruimac. In the afternoon we will move to the medicinal
bathrooms water heater of QONOQ where we will rest for space of
one hour and to continue then to the city from the Cusco to
which we will arrive at 8pm o'clock. Transfer to the hotel.
